All performance information published in advertisements, sales literature and communications to investors, including various expressions of current yield, effective yield, tax equivalent yield, total return and distribution rate, is calculated and presented in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Securities and Exchange Commission. In each case, performance information will be based on past performance and will reflect all recurring charges against fund income. What is a CUSIP number?
The ticker symbols for our individual funds are listed above. CUSIP numbers are unique nine-digit numbers assigned to each series of securities. CUSIP, or the Committee on Uniform Security Identification Procedures, was established under the auspices of the American Bankers Association to develop a uniform method of identifying securities.

How do I register the shares in the name of a trust, corporation or other business entity?
Download our application and be sure to complete the section marked for "Corporations, Trusts or Partnerships." It is very important that you provide all of the information requested on the application, as we cannot open an account without it.
In the case of a trust, we require that you supply a copy of the first and signature / notarization pages of your trust document. For other entities, we ask that you include the first page, powers page and signature / notarization page of the Corporate Resolution, Partnership Agreement or other official IRS Document, as applicable.
Due to recent legal developments regarding the USA PATRIOT Act, all financial institutions (including mutual funds) are required to obtain, verify and record the following information for all registered owners or others who may be authorized to act on an account:
Full name
Date of birth
Social Security Number
Permanent U.S. street address
Corporate, trust and other entity accounts require additional documentation. This information will be used to verify your true identity. We will return your application if any of this information is missing and we may request additional information from you for verification purposes. In the rare event that we are unable to verify your identity, the Fund reserves the right to redeem your account at the current day's net asset value.

How do I purchase additional shares?
To purchase additional shares in a fund, simply make your check payable to the name of the Fund in which you are investing, write your account number on the check, and mail your check with your confirmation stub to the address printed on your account statement. There is a $250 minimum for subsequent investments.

Can I purchase shares online?
Once an account has been established and you have set up your online access, you can purchase shares online, provided we have banking information on file. Simply log in to your account at www.caltrust.com and follow the instructions. After setting up your access to your account online, you may obtain a history of transactions for your account.

If you are opening a new account by wire, you must first call California Investment Trust Fund Group at (800) 225-8778 to obtain an account number.
In order to make your order effective, we must have your order in good form. Accordingly, your purchase will be processed at the net asset value next calculated after your order has been received by the Funds’ agent. You will begin to earn dividends as of the first business day following the day of your purchase.

How do I initiate an Automatic Investment Plan (AIP)?
Using the Funds' Automatic Investment Plan (AIP), you may arrange to make additional purchases (minimum $100 per purchase) automatically through electronic funds transfer (EFT) from your checking or savings account. Your bank must be a member of the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) for you to take part in this program. You can terminate your participation program with at least ten-day's written notice.
There is no fee to participate in this program; however, a service fee of $25.00 will be deducted from your account for any AIP purchase request that does not clear your designated checking or savings account for any of the following:
Non-sufficient funds (NSF)
Closed Account (If prior to notifying California Investment Trust requesting to terminate the plan)
Any manner preventing withdrawal of the funds (If prior to notifying California Investment Trust requesting to terminate the plan)

Please note: the share prices of the Funds are subject to change. Before undertaking any plan for systematic investment, you should keep in mind that such a program does not assure a profit or protect against a loss.
We reserve the right to suspend the offering of shares of any of the Funds for a period of time and to reject any specific purchase order in whole or in part.

HOW TO SELL SHARES
How do I sell shares?
You may redeem all or a portion of your shares on any business day that the Funds are open for business prior to 4:00 p.m. Eastern time (1:00 p.m., Pacific time). Your shares will be redeemed at the net asset value next calculated after we have received your redemption request in good form. Remember that we may hold redemption proceeds until we are satisfied that we have collected any funds deposited by check. To avoid these possible delays (up to 15 days) you should consider making your investment by wire, following the instructions as provided in the prospectus.
If you have not selected telephone redemption or transfer privileges, you must send a "signature guaranteed letter of instruction" specifying:
Name of the Fund
Number of shares to be sold
Your name
Your account number

The Custodian requires that signature(s) be guaranteed by an eligible signature guarantor such as a commercial bank, broker-dealer, credit union, securities exchange or association, clearing agency or savings association. This policy is designed to protect shareholders and their accounts.

Do you offer a Systematic Withdrawal Plan?
If you own shares of a Fund with a value of $10,000 or more, you may establish a Systematic Withdrawal Plan. You may receive monthly or quarterly payments in amounts of not less than $100 per payment. Details of this plan may be obtained by calling (800) 225-8778.

Can I write checks from my account?
A free checkbook is available to shareholders of our Bond and Money Market Funds. Checks are subject to a $500 minimum amount. To obtain your free checkbook, mark the box located under "Check Redemption Privileges" in Section 4 of the application. If you already have a Bond or Money Market account, please call the (800) 225-8778 to obtain a signature card. Checking privileges are not available on all types of accounts, including the Equity Funds, so please call (800) 225-8778 if you have any questions.

How do I obtain a new checkbook?
To obtain a new checkbook, please call (800) 225-8778. It typically takes two weeks from the time of the request to receive a checkbook.

Can I receive funds via a wire transfer?
You must have applied for the wire transfer feature when originally opening your account. If you don’t currently have this feature, you may add it by providing a Signature Guaranteed Letter of Authorization accompanied by a voided check from your banking institution. We will notify you once the wire feature is active. Once activated, you can make wire redemptions at any time by calling (800) 225-8778 before 4:00 p.m. Eastern time(1:00 p.m., Pacific time) and the funds will be wired to your bank the next business day. Your bank may have limitations on when the funds will be available in your account. Please check with your bank for details.

When are dividends / capital gains paid?
Dividends for the Equity Funds are typically paid on a quarterly basis and dividends for Bond Funds are typically paid on a monthly basis. Dividends that are realized are paid on the last business day of the month. Capital gains (if realized) are typically paid once a year on the last business day in November.

How do I change the address on my account?
For security reasons, a change of address request must be made in writing and signed by ALL parties registered on the account. You may download a Change of Address Form or simply send us a letter referencing both the old address, as well as account numbers(s) and the new address. Again, please be sure ALL registered parties for the account sign the form or letter.
A confirmation of your change of address will be sent to the original address of record as well as the new address of record. Once the paperwork has been received it can take 2-5 business days for the new address to become effective in our system. For additional information, please contact us at (800) 225-8778.

What is a Signature Guarantee? Where do I get one?
A Signature Guarantee (also known as a Bank Guarantee or Medallion Guarantee) is issued by a bank and protects the Funds and its shareholders against fraud. The issuing institution is guaranteeing the funds in the account.
A notarized document and a Signature Guarantee are NOT the same. A Signature Guarantee may typically be obtained from your banking institution. For additional information on Signature Guarantees and when one is required, please contact us at (800) 225-8778.

When is a Signature Guarantee required?
Signature Guarantees are required on change of registration forms, when providing new banking instructions, written authorization for sales, checks issued to third parties, or when checks are being mailed to an address other than the address of record. Please be sure that ALL registered parties for the account sign the form or letter and that each party has their “signature guaranteed".
