Is there a list of investments available to my plan?

It would be easier to list what is unavailable. There are literally thousands of mutual funds and ETF’s available through the retirement platform.

Additionally, an Ameritrade Brokerage Window is an option.

Is there a cost to add investments to my plan?

There is no cost to add or change funds.

How do I access my plan online?

Log in at www.caltrust.com as a “plan sponsor”.

I have lost my sponsor id/password.

Contact us:
Email 401k@caltrust.com or call us 800-225-8778.

How do I get enrollment packets for my plan participants?

Upon request, we will prepare enrollment kits for your plan. Email: 401k@caltrust.com or call us 800-225-8778. There is no charge.

An employee has terminated. What do I do about the retirement account?

If you provide us with the employee’s termination date and contact information, we will contact them directly to provide distribution paperwork.

Distribution paperwork is also available at our website: www.caltrust.com.

An employee with a loan has terminated. What steps should I take?

It is helpful if you notify us upon employee termination and provide contact information. A plan participant loan is due in full upon termination.

If an employee fails to either pay-off the loan or transfer the loan to a new employer, the loan goes into default. The IRS regulations dictate the process. Defaulted loans are considered premature distributions and subject to income tax and penalties. We provide a 1099R to the former employee for the balance due on the loan.

How do I access employee statements?

Employee statements are available through the Sponsor Web under “tools”.

How do I schedule a meeting for my employees?

Please call 800-225-8778 or email 401k@caltrust.com.
